Description
Tashkent International School (TIS) — an independent, nonprofit international day school founded in 1994 by the UN Resident Coordinator and the Ambassadors of the USA, UK, Germany, France, and Korea. The only international school in Central Asia with dual CIS and NEASC accreditation. Full IB continuum: PYP (elementary), MYP (middle), DP (diploma). English-medium instruction with Russian, Uzbek, French, Korean, and Spanish. 13-acre wooded campus: 3 academic buildings, 2 gymnasiums, 4 science labs, 2 libraries, 5 art/music studios, black box theater, 4 computer labs, soccer field, basketball courts. ~460 students from 40+ countries, 79 teachers from 19 countries. Official SAT testing center in Uzbekistan. Average teacher retention: 7 years.
